Rainbow Obsidian and Sterling Silver Necklace

There's a nice surprise with this obsidian cabochon. As with most rainbow obsidian stones, when the light hits it from a certain angle, the lovely colors appear. I cut this cabochon from a slab I sourced from Glass Buttes in Oregon. The obsidian has a mirror finish.
This is a nicely weighted pendant and chain. The pendant itself measures a drop from the chain of 2-1/2" and is 1-1/4" at the widest. The chain is a hefty sterling silver cable chain, and is finished with a sterling lobster clasp. The metal has been oxidized and then sanded to a satin finish.
