Morado Opal, Sterling Silver Earrings, Artisan Made
I cut these cabochons from a really nice slab of Morado Opal. They are a good medium purple color, pretty consistent throughout the stone. A good portion of Morado Opal on the market has a lot of white with the purple, these stones are all purple with a bit of white clouds and dots. Much more appealing.
I've got some twists going on with the ear-wire and the dangle. The little end bit is a twisted jump ring soldered onto a "doughnut" plate.
The earrings drop a total of 2.75" (68mm). The metal has been oxidized and then sanded to a satin finish. These earrings are super fun!
